25 April 2026
In plain English
Quiet day across most of our tracked domains. The FDA's advisory meeting on experimental drugs called peptides (short protein fragments used for recovery and longevity) is now 89 days away — July 23–24 — and a public comment window opens soon for anyone wanting to make their case to the panel.
In the weight-loss drug market, Eli Lilly's new pill Foundayo drew about 1,400 prescriptions in its first week, compared to roughly 3,000 for Novo Nordisk's Wegovy pill when it launched in January. Novo has an early lead in the oral race.
One signal worth watching: the FDA just updated the warning labels on menopause hormone therapy to better reflect current evidence — softening two decades of overly cautious language that kept many women from considering treatment. Nothing moved materially today.

How Barque got smarter today
- Coverage gaps closing. Three Ring 1 domains still have zero forecasts: skincare, menopause/HRT, and pet health. Today surfaced a menopause candidate (HRT labeling → prescription growth). Pet health candidate (Loyal LOY-002) proposed April 24 and awaits operator approval. Skincare signals are accumulating (GHK-Cu flood) but lack a falsifiable prediction hook. Protocol goal: at least one forecast per Ring 1 domain.
- PCAC comment window as next signal catalyst. Public comment deadline July 9 will generate a signal cluster from compounding pharmacy lobby (IACP, APC) and patient advocacy groups. Industry coalition letters in early July will reveal lobbying intensity. Mark July 9 for the next high-signal window.
- Oral GLP-1 first-week Rx data is a new tracking metric. Foundayo 1,390 Rx vs Wegovy pill 3,071 Rx in respective launch weeks. FiercePharma's new Oral GLP-1 Tracker will provide ongoing trajectory data. Compare at 30-day and 90-day marks for more informative signal.
- GHK-Cu skincare approaching New Vertical threshold. Passes 4 of 5 thresholds (signal strength, no dominant incumbent, Compound velocity, thesis fit). Fails threshold 2: search demand unverified. Needs Ahrefs or SERP depth analysis before formal proposal. Watch.
