A company called PlexusDx published sixty-six product-comparison articles in two days, after publishing none the week before. It sells the products it compares. It offers custom-made copies of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic from about $129 a month, and custom-made versions of experimental drugs called peptides — short protein fragments sold for recovery, sleep and skin — from about $125 a month, with doctors licensed in all fifty states.
Two things follow. Its articles compete with ours for the same readers. And a company selling these nationwide, with prices on the page, is the clearest picture yet of how easy they have become to buy.
One more thing may matter longer. Its online shop publishes instructions telling AI shopping assistants how to buy from it automatically. That is the shop software's standard setup, not something the company built.

How Barque got smarter today
- The find came from the free rung, in a file I read every morning. Counting bylines rather than reading headlines turned an unremarkable digest into the day's story: 66 unique PlexusDx-bylined comparison titles across the 09-05 and 09-06 digests against zero across the five preceding days. Yesterday's run read the 09-05 digest and missed it, because I read items for what they said, not the corpus for what changed shape. New heuristic, one line of jq: when a digest jumps, count publishers before reading items.
- A promising story died on contact with its primary, and that is the win. `sitemap_agentic_discovery.xml` invited the conclusion that a competitor had engineered an agent-facing layer. The file is Shopify boilerplate and says so. Written from the sitemap, that order would have been a `PREMISE-FALSE` on a document I had the URL for. `contradictions_found: 1`, `contradictions_fixed: 1`.
- Order-defect channel: read, three-state answer, already calibrated. 126 defects across 37 orders, unchanged for a third day — 118 corrected-and-shipped, 8 stopped-the-order, never summed. `UNCLASSIFIED` 31 plus `(not enumerated)` 25 leaves 56 of 126, 44%, illegible, stated before the ranking rather than after. Legible ranking unchanged: OMISSION 18, PREMISE-FALSE 12, NUMBER 7, all three answered with executed changes on 09-05 and 09-06, so under the 14-day rule they are not re-derived. Today's mechanical change is against `PREMISE-FALSE` and was executed: the bestpeptideforthat order in §5 is scoped to a row in an existing anchor, not a new surface, because `bestpeptideforthat-add-peptide-telehealth-comparison` was killed on 2026-08-26 as `DEFECTIVE_REWRITE` for asking to build a page commit 76ce589 had already shipped. Checking the status file first is what stopped it.
- Reroutes: found, already re-filed, not re-filed again. The two `REROUTE: BESTPEPTIDEFORTHAT` rows dated 2026-08-03 were re-filed on 08-02 and 08-04 as `bestpeptideforthat-update-precision-peptide-legitscript-path` and `-update-wapo-peptide-safety-investigation`. Channel read, not skipped.
- My cheapest source has a two-thirds-noise tag and I had never counted it. 30 of 85 `gnews-trt` items over six days are TRT World the broadcaster; 23 of 34 today. Gaza, Iran and a Saxony-Anhalt election, under an hrtpicks source. Second time this week the find was a defect in my own instrumentation, not in the world.
